Catriona Le May Doan

Catriona Le May Doan was the fastest woman on ice. After carrying the Canadian flag into the 2002 Olympic Winter Games opening ceremony (her fourth Olympics), Catriona defended her Olympic title with a Gold medal performance in the 500 metre event, becoming the first Canadian individual to defend a gold medal at any Olympic games. She held the World Record in the 500m for 10 years. During her career Catriona broke 13 World Records.Catriona’s accomplishments have earned her the 2002 Lou Marsh Award as Canada’s Athlete of the Year and she is a three-time recipient of the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award for Canadian Female Athlete of the Year award. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.

Catriona has been a board member with VANOC, Winsport, Calgary 2026 BidCo, Red Deer 2019, and still actively involved in the Canada Games Council as Vice Chair, Special Olympics Canada, Canadian Sport Institute Calgary, and various other charity organizations. Catriona works with Sport Calgary in helping to advance amateur sport in Calgary as Senior Director of Community and Sport Engagement, and will become CEO of the organization in September 2019.

Christy Lane

Dr. Christy Lane is a startup Founder, mentor and award-winning exercise scientist with expertise in big data, wearable devices, and lifestyle medicine. Currently, Dr. Lane is the Chair of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University. She is also a Visiting Associate Professor in Orthopaedics at Stanford University and a founding member of the Stanford Wearable Health Lab. She is the Founder of Vivametrica, a health tech company that uses data from wearable devices to predict mortality and disease risks, as well as to engage individuals in wellness. Christy has won many international awards for her work in lifestyle medicine and the application of technology in health, and speaks often internationally on these topics. She was recently recognized as Top 40 Under 40 in Calgary, 2018 Female Founders of Insuretch Winner and Top 20 Women in Tech 2018. Christy has a PhD in Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of Alberta, as well as an MSc. In Exercise Physiology from Western University. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Michigan.

Cynthia Watson

Cynthia Watson has “reverse engineered” her life’s dedication to wellness by starting with palliative care and seniors, to working with adults and young developing athletes to now focussing on youth, children and future generations.
Currently, Cynthia Watson is Chief Evolution Officer of Vivo for Healthier Generations, a charitable enterprise on a mission to raise healthier generations in Calgary and beyond. She loves to tinker, test and prototype with evidence, innovation and collaboration to co-create local solutions to national challenges like physical inactivity and sedentary behaviour. She has a passion for being an explorer and leader with heart. She is happiest surfing ambiguity in a lifelong quest to embolden others to make a bigger difference in the world.
In her parallel universe, she is a yoga teacher, entrepreneur, mentor for developing leaders and business coach for small business owners and nonprofit organizations. She is a graduate of the Royal Roads University Master of Arts in Leadership.

Jesse Fehr

Jesse was born and raised in Calgary and has been an active participant in the sporting community in Calgary and Alberta for his whole life. Jesse’s passion for sports allowed him to obtain a degree in psychology from Harvard University and a Masters in Management Studies from Duke University while playing NCAA Division 1 lacrosse. After graduating, Jesse played professional lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League from 2011 — 2016.

Jesse has a passion for teaching and supporting athletes in pursuit of their athletic dreams. He is thankful for all of the wonderful opportunities sport has provided him in his life and hopes to help young athletes create their own amazing memories and experiences. He is actively involved in lacrosse in Alberta with a goal of developing the sport of lacrosse and its youth participants. Jesse works towards these goals through his involvement with the Okotoks Raiders Junior A lacrosse club, Mustangs field lacrosse club, the Alberta Lacrosse Association in his role as Director of High Performance, and through his business Evolve Lacrosse Alberta, which helps student athletes to pursue post secondary lacrosse opportunities in the United States and Canada.

Dale Henwood

Dale Henwood devoted his life to sport development, the pursuit of excellence in Alberta, and to making sport in Canada better. Dale is a former hockey coach, having worked with collegiate and high-performance players in the USA and Canada. He was on the coaching staff of the 1984, 1988 and 1992 men’s Olympic hockey teams. He has worked with Hockey Alberta, Alberta Sport Council and in 1994 became the first President and CEO of the Canadian Sport Institute.

Having a place that provides athletes and their coaches with all the support they need to perform their best has always been a dream for Dale. And for the last twenty-five years, he has had the opportunity to work with a team of committed, passionate and caring experts to help keep this dream alive. In 2013, Dale was also named President of the Association of Sport Performance Centres. The Association has over 80 members from around the world.

Dale also promotes and advocates the benefits of physical activity and sport, writing and speaking to our politicians for the need for greater government commitment and involvement. He works tirelessly to speak up and advocate for the value that sport and healthy lifestyle brings to our youth. When Dale is not working, he is very involved in serving the community through his church, The Drop-in Center, Samaritans Purse and with several local or international sport organizations.

David Legg

David Legg is a Professor and past Chair for the Department of Physical and Health at Mount Royal University in Calgary. He is the Past President of the Canadian Paralympic Committee and past board member for the 2015 Pan Parapan American Games in Toronto. David has also served on the International Paralympic Committee’s Sport Science Committee. In June he was elected President of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity. Dr. Legg also worked with the Calgary BidCo for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Jason Ribeiro

Jason Ribeiro is a corporate leader, community advocate, and one of Canada’s most awarded social science graduate students. As Director of Strategy at Calgary Economic Development, Jason is responsible for setting and implementing corporate and community vision through the city's new economic strategy, "Calgary in the New Economy." Jason is simultaneously completing his Ph.D. research at the University of Calgary, which is funded by the prestigious SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship and aims to assist organizational leaders in shaping, leading, and sustaining innovation efforts in cross-sector partnerships. He is an active member of the international academic community, and has taught over 600 university students, written 13 scholarly works, delivered over 20 national/international conference presentations, and received over $180,000 in competitive funding.

Jason is committed to improving the lives and well-being of Canadians across the country and has represented Canada at the World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings, United Nations Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial, and Young Leaders Program of Atlantik-Brücke. He was recently elected as Curator of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Calgary Hub for the 2019-2020 year. A passionate leader, Jason currently sits on boards and standing committees within Sport Calgary, EducationMatters, and the Calgary Public Library. Finally, Jason weighs in regularly on civic, national, and international affairs as a commentator on CBC.

JENNIFER KONOPAKI

Jennifer Konopaki is a people-oriented, community-minded, enthusiastic individual with vision. She has brought a adaptable and unique approach to her chosen vocation because of her diverse background that includes contributions in sport business, administration, transformational leadership and change. During her career she has gained an intimate understanding of the Canadian sport system and sport excellence. She has built strong and instrumental relationships within the Sport Sector and has had an opportunity to oversee sport programming from a grassroots to performance level.

Currently, she is part of the Senior Leadership team at WinSport working as the Executive Director of Sport, and has gained second to none business knowledge and vision. During her career she has demonstrated the ability to identify opportunities and using innovation and forward thinking has contributed to organizational success.

She has completed her Executive Leadership Education, with Queens University, Smith School of Business and has vast experience and perspective from a number of continuous professional development opportunities including 20 years of specific Sport Leadership experience.

Jenn Johnson

Jenn is an experienced sponsorship and events professional, bringing 15 years of experiences from all sides of the sponsorship ecosystem with organizations like TELUS, The Calgary Stampede, Canadian Pacific, Freestyle Canada and ATB Financial, where she is currently the Managing Director of Sponsorship and Community Initiatives. Growing up in rural Alberta as a multi-sport athlete, her passion and in-depth knowledge of the Canadian sport system has resulted in leadership roles on 14 FIS World Cup organizing committees, nine PGA Tour Canada golf committees and three Team Alberta Mission Staff teams. She is currently President of the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada, Calgary Chapter and a board member of The Balance Foundation, a local non-profit committed to engaging youth in Calgary through sport and education opportunities. Jenn is excited to join the ActiveCITY Board to continue building community and connection through sport and activity.

John WindWICK

John manages a team across Alberta focused on leveraging sponsorships and programming to enhance ATB Financials brand across the province.

With experience working in the banking industry for 30 years, John has a varied background but focussed mainly on Sponsorships, Community Events,  Marketing and Communications. His career at ATB Financial has seen him as VP Retail Financial Services, VP Marketing and, currently, VP Community Initiatives.  John has a strong community background, chairing the Northlands Board, Hockey Alberta Foundation, Canadian Tour Professional Golf Tour (Telus Opens Edmonton), numerous charities, and programming in Edmonton and Calgary. The majority of John’s career has been spent in fundraising and sponsorship from both a partner and donor standpoint. He brings many years of expertise in this field and is extremely excited to share his knowledge with you.

MARY MORaN

Mary became President and CEO of Calgary Economic Development in 2015. Mary initially joined Calgary Economic Development as Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Research in 2010. She brought extensive leadership experience in the development of strategy, marketing, stakeholder relations and fund development with leading companies, including TELUS Delta Hotels, Canadian Airlines and Wardair. 

At Calgary Economic Development, Mary led teams that created the Calgary Be Part of the Energy promotional brand adopted by all civic agencies, the award-winning 2013 flood recovery campaign YYC is OPEN, and oversaw development of two iterations of the city’s economic strategy, Calgary Building on our Energy and Calgary in the New Economy. Mary is the CEO of the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund, a board director of the Calgary Film Centre, and was CEO of Calgary 2026 Bid corporation developing and promoting a bid to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Mary earned an MBA from Royal Roads University. She is active in the Calgary community and serves as a director for the Calgary Petroleum Club, O’Brien Institute for Public Health and is the Chair of Sport Calgary. She is a past Chair of Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta.

Perry has been an Investment Advisor since 1996. In 2003, Perry was proud to spearhead the opening of the first Wellington West Capital Inc. office in Calgary, Alberta. Since then, National Bank acquired Wellington West Inc. in July 2011. Before becoming an advisor, Perry played nine seasons in the NHL for the Calgary Flames (1985-1989), Minnesota North Stars (1989-1991) and the San Jose Sharks (1991-1993). In 1986 he was credited with the infamous “Steve Smith goal” that won the Calgary Flames the series in Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers. After retirement, Perry returned to school to complete his Business Degree at the University of North Dakota. Perry still stays active in the NHL through colour commentary work on television and radio with the Calgary Flames. He is renowned for his community involvement through his work with the Calgary Flames Alumni and numerous charitable organizations in Southern Alberta. Perry was recently recognized by the Rotary Club of Calgary with the distinguished Integrity Award for his community work and showing the qualities of sound moral principles, honestly and sincerity.

RICHARD MONETTE

Richard’s talents span the disciplines of business, education and sport psychology, all of which are linked by his passion for improving human achievement and fulfillment. Richard is the managing director of “Active for Life”, a world-leading initiative dedicated to engaging the grassroots in developing physical literacy in children. He is also an integral part of the leadership team at B2ten; a privately funded organization that supports elite Canadian athletes in achieving success on the world stage. Richard is a sport psychology consultant to many Olympic and professional athletes. He has coached athletes to success under pressure at the highest levels of sport. Richard also consults with business leaders on the value of being purposeful.

Tim Olafson is the co-Founder of Stone-Olafson a research-based consulting firm based in Calgary and Toronto. Prior to Stone-Olafson we was Executive Vice President of Angus Reid Strategies, President of Ipsos Observer North America, and Regional Senior Vice president of Ipsos Canada West. He has spent his career in consulting and public opinion research working for organizations such as Air Canada, Farm Credit Canada, Blackberry, the Calgary Stampede, Microsoft, WinSport, Dell, and multiple arts and sports organizations in Alberta and across Canada.

Vincent is the Founder and CEO of StellarAlgo, a company focused on fan data analytics through the usage of machine learning technology and their SaaS customer data platform. The Company is based in Calgary, Canada and works with some of North America's largest sports and entertainment brands.

Vince has wide experience in the sports industry having worked as the Senior Vice President of Business Operations for Portland Trail Blazers focusing on organizational strategy, revenue strategy, ticket operations, CRM/consumer insights, business opportunity analysis, innovation and technology, and marketing automation. Prior to his stint at the Trail Blazers, Vince was the Director of Business Operations and Analytics for AEG Sports where he provided analytic support to AEG's North American and European sports properties including the LA Kings and LA Galaxy.

Candice Goudie

Candice Goudie has a wealth of experience in not-for-profit, event management, program development, charitable fundraising, community investment and communications. For the past 13 years, she has worked under the umbrella of Calgary’s highest profile sports organizations, leading the Calgary Flames’ community relations and charitable foundations as the Executive Director of the Calgary Flames Foundation and Community Investment.

In recent years she augmented her portfolio to include the foundations of all teams of the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (Calgary Stampeders, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Flames and Calgary Roughnecks). Candice leads a team of staff in the management of the organizations four foundations and community investment activities. While executing on these prominent events and programs, she has established CSEC as the industry leader in providing fulfillment to the organization’s goals of customer service, fundraising, and creating unique event experiences.

Candice has not only set the standard in the field of community investment and charitable activities but has done so under the brightest lights of the professional sports world.

Elaine Kupser

Elaine is the founder, Publisher and CEO of IMPACT Magazine (IMPACT Productions Inc.) based out of Calgary, AB. She has been a significant force in positioning Calgary both provincially and nationally as a city that promotes individual well-being through health and fitness. Her ceaseless contribution over the past 30+ years has been to inspire and educate the people of Calgary and beyond to live healthier lives.

Among Elaine’s important contributions was her almost single-handed determination to bring attention to the plight and needs of our Olympic athletes. After she began publishing she became increasingly aware of our Canadian Olympic athletes who were receiving little to no support or exposure at that time. Many years before a number of programs were born and government and citizens stepped up to help our athletes, Elaine used IMPACT Magazine as a platform to feature and give recognition to our Olympic hopefuls for the first time by featuring them as the front cover stories.

Through the pages of her magazine each reader is motivated, inspired and encouraged to connect with and participate in the diverse opportunities and benefits in fitness and health.

Jeff Horvath

Jeff is a member of the Ojibways of Onigaming in north-western Ontario.  He is the principal of the Tsuut’ina Nation High School and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Calgary.  A former board member of Outward Bound Canada from 2012 to 2019 he was also an instructor taking students on multi-week expeditions in the mountains and lakes of this country.  He is also an Assistant Hiking Guide for the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Since Fall of 2020 he serves on the board of Spirit North, an organization that supports health and wellness of Indigenous youth through sport and activity.  He lives in Canmore, Alberta and spends his summer paddling, hiking and biking and his winters skiing and skating with his wife, Genevieve and their two children.

DAVID FINCH

Dr. David Finch’s professional background reflects a commitment to the convergence of theory and practice. David holds a PhD in management and is an active educator, scholar and practitioner. David currently holds several academic appointments including a Professor at Mount Royal University’s Bissett School of Business in Calgary, Alberta, a Visiting Fellow at the Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the UK and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph’s International Institute for Sport Business & Leadership.

Prior to joining academia, over two decades, Dr. Finch held progressively senior roles in areas of corporate strategy in Canada, the US and the UK with Bell Canada Enterprises, Rogers Communications and Harris Corporation. In addition, Dr. Finch was a founding partner at T1 Agency, Canada’s largest sports and sponsorship marketing agency supporting brands such as Esso, Nike, Hudson’s Bay, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, BC Ferries, The Calgary Stampede and Yellow Pages.

Hafiz Mitha

Hafiz is a social entrepreneur driven by impact. After co-founding Katipult (TSX: FUND), he decided to sell his shares and launched PlayCity - a company on a mission to make the world a better place, using technology to bring people together - offline. What started as an idea to find tennis partners in the same skill level has blossomed into a platform connecting adults to others and local events based on activity preferences and proximity. Being recognized as bringing "signal vs noise", Hafiz delivered a TEDxCalgary talk in 2017. After graduating from the RBC Social Enterprise Accelerator in 2018, PlayCity was accepted into Radius Slingshot - a Health Promotion Lab based in Vancouver. Since launching PlayCity in 2016, Hafiz has secured local and national partnerships, most notably with MEC and has added Hayley Wickenheiser to their team of advisors. He is excited to work with people and organizations that share a mandate of creating diverse relationships, increasing physical activity and removing barriers in a society that spends too much time isolated and on their phones.

JEFF BOOKE

Jeff was born in Toronto and raised in Winnipeg. He has been active his entire life and, through this lifelong involvement in sport Jeff was encouraged to pursue degrees in physical activity & sports studies from the University of Winnipeg and recreation studies from the University of Manitoba. In 2015, he earned his MBA from Haskayne. Jeff’s 18-year track record of leadership and management excellence was recognized in 2009 with his selection to Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40, and in 2014 with a Leaders of Tomorrow distinction. Before taking on the role of Repsol Sport Centre CEO, Jeff acted as the Executive Director of the Calgary JCC for almost nine years.

Karen BALL

Karen is the Principal with Karen Ball & Associates, a culture, community and place making consultancy. She has been a thought leader and collaborator in key planning and engagement within Alberta for over 20 years including working as the Culture and Education Strategist for Calgary 2026, strategist for the Province of Alberta’s Premier’s Council for Culture and Canada 150 secretariat. She has been instrumental in creating policy and planning for infrastructure and investment programs, policies and the City’s cultural plan at the municipal level. Karen led Calgary’s year as Cultural Capital of Canada in 2012 and has worked nationally with the Canada Council for the Arts and the Banff Centre. She served on the Board of the Calgary Bid Exploration Committee (CBEC) and is on the Board of the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations.

Nathaniel Miller

Nathaniel Miller, former captain of the Canadian Men’s National Water Polo team, is a 2008 Olympian, 3x PanAm Games medallist and 7x National Champion. Miller honed his leadership skills during a 12-year National Team career where he helped guide the Canadian men’s team to some of its greatest successes, including a Gold Medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Championships, and the programs first ever Olympic qualification in 2008.  After retiring from elite competition in 2010, Nathaniel has remained active in the Canadian sports landscape, serving in management and leadership roles with the Canadian Olympic Committee, Toronto 2015 Pan/Para PanAm Games and the Alberta Water Polo Association. He has also been involved in grassroots sports as a coach and volunteer for the past 25 years and continues to share his passion for movement and physical literacy as a Master Learning Facilitator with the National Coaching Certification Program and as a certified Yoga instructor. In 2017, Nathaniel was the recipient of the inaugural Canadian Olympic Scholarship to Queen’s University, where he entered the Executive MBA program, graduating in the spring of 2019.

Norm o’reilly (Ex-officio)

Norm O’Reilly is recognized as one of the leading scholars in the business of sports. He is currently Professor and Assistant Dean of Executive Programs in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business & Economics at the University of Guelph. As Assistant Dean, he leads Lang’s two professional programs, the MBA and MA(Leadership) degrees. Dr. O’Reilly is also the founding Director of the International Institute for Sport Business & Leadership at Guelph, a think-tank devoted to improving the sport business globally. He was previously the Richard P. and Joan S. Fox Professor of Business and Chair of the Department of Sports Administration at Ohio University’s College of Business. He has authored or co-authored eight books, and more than 120 peer reviewed journal articles. Dr. O’Reilly is the lead researcher on the Canadian Sponsorship Landscape Study, currently in its thirteenth edition.

For more than a decade, he has been minority owner and partner consultant Toronto-based agency, T1, where he has worked for clients including Nike, UFC, Nissan, and Canadian Olympic Committee. Dr. O’Reilly was ‘Assistant Chef de Mission’ for the Canadian Paralympic Team at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, Brazil. In 2017, his work was highlighted publicly in the media as part of the Canadian Hockey League legal case around player compensation. He currently holds visiting/adjunct appointments in Canada, the United States and Australia, and also holds the CGA/CPA Accounting Designation.

MATT MOSTELLAR

Matt Mosteller, aka. Powder Matt is an outdoor industry executive, adventurer, blogger, author, and freelance journalist. He is a lifelong ski bum and outdoor adventurer, and sought-after writer whose work has been published in countless major city newspapers, magazines and outdoor centric websites. When not escaping Grizzly Bear attacks, running wild rivers in Northern BC, or lost in the Arctic in a mid-winter expedition, aka Powder Matt, can be found sipping craft coffee in Fernie, BC. PATTI PON (Ex-officio)

Patti Pon is a veteran community and arts champion with an extensive track that includes leadership positions at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts (now Arts Commons), Alberta Performing Arts Stabilization Fund, and Alberta Theatre Projects, among others. She serves on the board of The Calgary Foundation and on a committee for the Calgary Stampede. She was a founding board member of the Asian Heritage Foundation (Southern Alberta), served on the steering committee for imagineCalgary, and was a member of the JUNO Executive Host Committee and the Olympic Bid Exploration Committee.

RAY DePAUL (Ex-officio)

Ray was appointed as the inaugural Director of Mount Royal University’s Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in February 2012. Before joining, Ray was the President and CEO of RapidMind Inc., a spin-off company from the University of Waterloo. Ray steered RapidMind through $11M of venture funding, significant market growth, and turned the company into an industry leader, resulting in the acquisition by Intel Corp. Prior to Rapidmind, Ray spent five years with Research In Motion (now BlackBerry) and was responsible for product management of the iconic BlackBerry. Today, Ray DePaul is a valued member of the Mount Royal and Calgary community as a mentor and advisor to students, founders, startups and businesses.

Ray holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Masters in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he was awarded the alumni award for Innovation in 2011. In 2016, Ray was named as one of three finalists for the national BDC Mentorship Award and was the recipient of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award in 2017.

Russell is the President of Manifesto and a consultant specializing in sport marketing and content production; Olympic, action sports and pro athlete management; and major event bid strategy and fund development. An active member in Canada's sport community, Russell founded a community movement promoting FREE sport discovery for kids in Calgary (All Sport One Day), developed an award-winning program to promote tobacco-free lives to Alberta’s youth (Sport For Life), led successful bids to bring major sport events to Canada, and currently works as the Project Lead for X Games Calgary. Russell has worked successfully with world leaders in sport for the past 18 years – including nine Olympic Games, ten World Championships and over 25 World Cups – as an executive event volunteer, athlete brand and marketing advisor, national sponsorship sales and activation lead, content producer, and major event bid strategist.

Dr. Tombe is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Calgary and a Research Fellow at The School of Public Policy. Prior to joining the University of Calgary in 2012, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He received his BBA (Finance) from Simon Fraser University, and his MA and PhD (Economics) from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on a broad range of topics from international trade and public finance to energy and environmental policy. In addition to his academic work, he regularly promotes the public understanding of economics and policy issues through his numerous public policy papers through the School, active social media presence, and general interest writings in various media outlets, including regular contributions to CBC Calgary and other media outlets.

Robert Wise

Experienced leader with nearly three decades of management in the sporting and event industry. Skilled in design, operations, marketing, sponsorship and business development of large scale events. Energetic professional with solid business acumen and in-depth collaboration with large groups of volunteer leaders and multinational corporate partners. Worked in partnership with international sporting federations and athletes from around the world and multiple disciplines with both the Calgary Stampede and Spruce Meadows.

Celebrates being a multigenerational Calgarian with a strong passion for promoting Alberta as a vital part of Canada’s economy and cultural vitality. Supports Calgary Economic Development through the Agribusiness advisory council, driving the sector forward with technical talent, innovative technologies, financial services and business know-how. Jeff Daniels

Jeff is a community leader responsible for promoting and selling Calgary as a host city to major event rights holders. Correspondingly, he has a great deal of experience conducting cost/benefit feasibility assessments for major event acquisitions. Over the course of the past 13 years, Jeff has supported, led and endorsed bid campaigns for over 500 events of various scopes and scales including most recently the CFL Grey Cup Festival and the CCMA’s Country Music Week in 2019. He is a proud born and raised Calgarian.

Jeff previously represented the Calgary Sport Tourism Authority on The City of Calgary’s Event Advisory Committee and assisted in the development of Calgary's Festival and Event Policy in 2010. He is a former member of the Sport Tourism Canada Board of Directors and has also participated on many host organizing committees in an advisory capacity. Jeff has guest lectured at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University, has served on Bow Valley College’s Event Management Advisory Committee and was a contributor to the development of SAIT’s new Hospitality and Tourism Diploma. Jeff is currently a member of the board of directors for the Calgary Downtown Association and member of the steering committee for Chinook Blast.
